Session 1 - Introduction to Polymedication
This session introduces the concept of polypharmacy, exploring its causes, benefits, and potential risks, as well as the importance of appropriate medication management. It also highlights the essential role of patients in ensuring medication safety through active participation, effective communication with healthcare professionals, and shared decision-making. Finally, it introduces evidence-based medicine and the value of patient experiences in shaping safer, more personalised care.
