and Enhanced Patient Empowerment

Session 4 - Patient Vulnerability Factors

This session explores the factors that increase patients' vulnerability to medication-related risks, particularly in the context of polypharmacy. It examines how individual characteristics, such as age, sex, and health conditions, interact with social and systemic factors to influence medication safety. It also addresses health inequalities, barriers to healthcare access, and the importance of inclusive practices and patient-centred communication in ensuring safer and more equitable care.
